We provide research, consultancy, and capacity building to promote fiscal reforms, corporate governance, and stronger industry–society linkages. By bringing together voices from government, academia, industry and citizens, we help shape responses to emerging issues in education, jobs, digital transformation and ethics, ensuring that solutions remain people-focused and future-ready.

As part of our Innovation and Empowerment efforts, the SAFAL (Sustainable Action for Farmers, Artisans and Livelihood) provides a creative, supportive space where rural skills and local enterprises can grow into competitive and sustainable ventures. This is designed to link artisans, farmers, youths, cooperatives, Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmers Producer Organisation (FPOs) with global markets. The programme nurtures grassroots innovations, strengthens local enterprises, and enhances competitiveness through training, digital platforms and market access initiatives. By connecting traditional skills with modern value chains, SAFAL empowers communities to thrive in an increasingly globalized economy to foster self-reliant and resilient villages. Our Health, Gender and Marginality Programme advances public health, gender equity, and social inclusion with key focus areas such as the Janani Project on reproductive, maternal, child and adolescent health, mental health, support for vulnerable groups, and drug-De-addiction interventions.

We focus on advancing environmental protection and sustainable development through research, capacity building and advocacy, we address critical issues such as biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, pollution control and climate change. By working closely with communities, institutions and industries, we support the adoption of eco-friendly technologies, improved energy efficiency, and better crop-residue management. Together, these efforts strengthen climate action, expand access to green livelihoods, and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for both rural and urban regions.

Our work in public policy affairs focuses on addressing key societal challenges across public health, poverty alleviation, education, rural and industrial development, skill enhancement, employment generation, governance, environment, technology, agriculture and sustainable development. We undertake research that enlightens decision-making, supports effective policy design and strengthens implementation. Through our evidence-based support and dialogue with required stakeholders, we help in shaping policies that are inclusive, practical and responsive to emergent needs.
